Formed in 2022, the Cherry Bombs came together after their fateful encounter at the annual Battle of the Fantasy Girl Bands, held at the iconic Stephen Talkhouse. Cherry Bombs
Yuka Silvera, a Gen-X costume designer from Tokyo, is the founder of the band and its bassist, laying down the funky foundation that will keep your feet moving all night long. An exciting addition to the band is Millennial, dynamic multi-sensory solo performer Mila Tina from Chile, whose explosive drumming will blow your mind. Charismatic Lola Lama is the East End’s very own Gen-Z, NYU Tisch graduate and rising performer. Her captivating vocals effortlessly transport audiences from power ballads to high-energy anthems. Adding a touch of Gen-X energy is artist, writer, and Columbia University doctoral candidate Nika Nesgoda, the band’s cellist, whose soaring strings weave a unique tapestry of sound. The Cherry Bombs’ explosive performances wouldn’t be complete without Gen-X guitarist Christopher Walsh, former Billboard magazine writer and current East Hampton Star senior writer, who ignites the stage with scorching riffs, and the youngest Gen-Z member, singer-songwriter and pianist Matthew Brand on keyboards.
